I never imagined myself carrying a firearm.
I married, and always felt safe when my husband was home. Before long, it became
apparent my husband couldn't be around every moment. Being informed of current
and local events, I realized dangers posed
from violent crime can happen - and
unfortunately do happen, every day and in
EVERY community.
This led to my decision to obtain some form
of personal protection. Having had serious
encounters with stray dogs in the past, I
tried to purchase pepper spray, only to  
learn my state required me to obtain a
concealed carry permit. So I took the classes,
passed the requirements, paid the
application fees and now I carry a firearm.
Fortunately my husband, a former Paratrooper, had taken me shooting on numerous
prior occasions, thus familiarizing me with the tool!

from pepper spray up to and including firearms, as well as typical restrictions covering a concealed carry permit in schools, parks, work place, etc. are
examined. Practical and effective devices for securing ALL your personal protection tools, and advantages and disadvantages of each. Attendees are free
to skip training in any of the defense tools offered. Only the handgun safety portion is relevant when pursuing Concealed Handgun Carry. Our additional
training is offered only so the student member may be better familiar with the several options in the personal protection arena, and therefore better able to
make an informed armed defense choice. A $20 contribution to the Armed Citizen League required.

The training you receive should be of the highest reputation. Obviously, Law Enforcement has access
to some of the best handgun training experts in the field. Likewise, our Armed Forces are trained by
Gunnery Sergeants, Drill Instructors, Advanced Marksmanship Units, Sniper Schools, etc.
As a civilian, you have a number of options available to choose from. You may choose to get your training
from a salesman at a gun shop. Former bouncers, dentists and people from all walks of life are teaching.

Taking your training from someone who is ONLY an NRA instructor charging high prices will get you
just that, nothing more.

When you are fortunate enough to get your training from a Veteran soldier, a firearm historian, a
champion marksman, a shooting club founder, etc.,etc., you should jump at it !
